Dan Durston created the first iconic X-mid in collaboration with MassDrop and this tent has since become one of the best tents in the whole lightweight backpacking community. With the introduction of the pro version, which are made of Dyneema, these became even more ultralight.
Besides tents Durston Gear also have backpacks that are truly well designed and use superior materials (in all the right places, light where possible, strong and sturdy where needed). Besides making great products, Dan is also very active in the ultralight community, always open for suggestions, gives feedback and answers. Overall such a nice company ;-)
