Durston – X-Mid Stargazer Kit

A night under the stars without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and other crawlies. The Durston Stargazer Kit lets you pitch the inner of your 2025 X-Mid 1 or 2 on its own (won’t work with pre-2025 models or tents from the Pro series). It uses matching buckles that clip onto the existing buckles at the peaks of your inner tent, while grommets make it easy to slot your trekking or tent poles in. The guylines you need to pull the inner taut are included, and adjust easily with cord locks.

How does the Durston X-Mid Stargazer Kit work?

Start by staking out the 4 corners of your floor so it sits taut in its parallelogram shape. Then attach the Stargazer adapters to the two clips at the top of your inner tent with the matching buckles.

Next, extend one pole at a time so it sits 5 to 10 cm higher than the inner peak of the tent, slot the pole tip into the grommet and stake out the guyline. The guyline should run roughly in line with the ridgeline. Point it in another direction and the inner will twist and lose space.

Use the supplied tensioners to pull the line taut, then repeat on the other side. Dead simple.
