We have the original X-Mid from the Massdrop collaboration, and it’s still one of our all-time favorite tents (though the Pro version might have edged it out 😉). The concept is brilliant—light, compact, easy to pitch (it’s just a square!), and surprisingly spacious.
Designed by Dan Durston, the X-Mid 1 is based on fundamental geometric principles, resulting in a tent that’s incredibly weight-efficient, user-friendly, and stormworthy. This double-wall shelter is not only capable and spacious, but it also weighs just 795 g (without poles).

It combines the maximally weight efficient X-Mid geometry with Dyneema® composite fabrics (DCF) to create one of the most spacious, simple, and stormworthy two person tents on the market - and yet it weighs over 1 pound - that is 565 grams with the silnylon floor.
The Z-Flick poles set the standard for folding poles, as they are not only the lightest adjustable poles on the market, but also the stiffest poles anywhere near this weight, compatible with almost every tent, and the only pole to have continuous external adjustment. Any pole that is lighter has a fixed length and is quite likely much less stiff.

Nice and light and nice and sturdy, these ultra-light titanium pegs from Vesuv. Ideal for standard lawns in the Netherlands, but also in other hard surfaces (not rocks of course).
