The lightest ultralight carbon tent pegs: @stakes

Lightest, brightest, thightest: that is the motto of at stakes, the “garage grown” company of Mike & Shelby. They make these super light, but rock-solid tent pegs from carbon. The stakes have a ground, hardened aluminum point and the version we offer has an orange or green top that provides extra protection when pushing in the herring. These high stakes are equipped with an integrated loop to easily pull the herring out of the ground. With a weight of only 3.5 grams for the 6″ version and 4.5 grams for the longer 8″ you will not easily find a lighter alternative.

Of course, these carbon tent pegs are not as solid as aluminum or titanium pegs, but they are certainly a worthy and super light alternative under many normal circumstances (especially as we find around here). If you are really going to sleep in rocky areas, these may not be the best pegs to use. But if you want to camp ultralight, these are the pegs you are looking for.

We offer the high stakes in a 6″ (15 cm) and an 8″ (20 cm) version. If you are looking for a smaller and even lighter version, for example to secure your guy line, then there are also the “lil buddy” stakes (3″ 7.5cm)
