The story behind Lightweight Outdoor

Gear we believe in, tested on the trail.

Hi, I’m Bas, owner of Lightweight Outdoor (and Bikepackingshop). I’ve always loved the outdoors and great functional gear. I started bikepacking, got obsessed with lightening my load, and that naturally spilled over to all my gear.

We’re always on the hunt for ultralight, compact equipment, often from small cottage brands abroad. We’ve tested most of what we sell because we’re huge gear nerds.
