Description
The specially made X-mid groundsheets offer that extra layer of protection and a cleaner floor for your Durston X-Mid tent. Although the stock X-Mid floor is durable enough to last hundreds of nights without a groundsheet, it can be a wise thing just to have that bit of extra protection ecspecially when you camp on harsher surfaces (e.g. rock, gravel). It also adds an extra layer to provide a greater level of protection against unforeseen objects (also for your sleeping mat). Plus a groundsheet keeps the dirt away from your tent and keeps your tent cleaner, which we like because who likes to roll up a muddy tent.
How to use the X-mid Groundsheet
The groundsheets are the same shape as the floor of the X0mid (they do not cover the vestibule, you can cut a small piece of Tyvek for that). To use the groundsheet, position it logo side up and slide it under the floor and clip it to the four floor corners. The ground sheet can be left attached to the tent or removed if you wish. We suggest normally leaving it attached but removing it when its really dirty or drying the tent.

Now available in the Netherlands and in stock (most of the time), so no more waiting and hoping customs release it quickly. We have the original X-Mid from the Massdrop collaboration, and it’s still one of our all-time favorite tents (though the Pro version might have edged it out 😉). The concept is brilliant—light, compact, easy to pitch (it’s just a square!), and surprisingly spacious. Designed by Dan Durston, the X-Mid 1 is based on fundamental geometric principles, resulting in a tent that’s incredibly weight-efficient, user-friendly, and stormworthy. This double-wall shelter is not only capable and spacious, but it also weighs just 795 g (without poles).
