The Zpacks Duplex Classic is the proven two-person model from Zpacks, an ultralight single-wall 2-person tent. At just over 500 grams it’s genuinely hard to believe how light it is. The right tent for gram counters heading out together, or for one person who wants a roomy tent to themselves.
In the ultralight world you only have to say “the Duplex” and everyone knows. This is the tent that’s been voted favourite ultralight tent by AT thru-hikers more than once, and for good reason. Ultra minimalist, no zips on the outer door but toggles instead so they never break. Plus two doors, two vestibules, room for two sleeping mats side by side, and still ridiculously light.
The Classic uses 0.75 oz/sqyd DCF for the canopy (Olive Drab) and 1 oz/sqyd DCF for the floor, a touch heavier than the Lite version but also tougher and less see-through. Ideal if you use your tent hard.
