Platypus Quickdraw microfilter system – waterfilter en fles

The newly updated 2024 version of the Platypus QuickDraw microfiltration system is just another step better than the previous version. Now available in a 1 and 2 liter version, combining the water filter with a familiar Platypys water bottle. A lightweight and compact way to safely filter and drink water from nature when clean water from the tap is not available. Ideal for those long mountain hikes where you don’t trust those crystal clear lakes or streams 100%.
The design is based on decades of experience in filtration and hydration to give us adventurers the best user experience of any fill-and-squeeze water filter on the market. The easy-to-use system consists of 2 parts:

• Water filter: the durable and taste-free QuickDraw reservoir and hollow fiber filter cartridge. This water filter system weighs only 95 grams and filters up to 3 liters per minute, giving you quick and easy access to clean water on any adventure. You simply shake the hollow fiber filter to clean it, or you can “backwash” the filter to make sure it stays in good working order. The quickdraw filter is threaded from two sides (inside/outside (I/O) double thread design). This allows the QuickDraw filter cartridge to safely fit smartwater bottles and other Platy bottles and reservoirs.
• Water bottle: the well-known Platypus collapsible water reservoir that you use to fill with “dirty water” to then run through the filter. This reservoir has a capacity of 1 liter or 2 liters.

The filter is designed so that you can drink directly from it, but you can also easily fill a water bottle with it. If you do your best, you can filter a liter of water in about 30 to 45 seconds.

• Ultra-fast flow rates: Hollow fiber cartridge filters up to 3L per minute if you have “normal normal people” hands and squeeze the bottle normally.
• Easy, effective cleaning: Shake to clean or tool-free backwash methods provide quick and easy filter cleaning.
• Thoughtful robust design: The clean side of the filter has a cover that flips open and provides a secure seal when closed. The dirty side is a screw cap that you can screw onto a bottle leak-proof. This is well thought out. The housing of the filter is made so that it grips even when wet and does not hold dirt.
• Super good (hollow fiber) filter! Hundreds of tiny hollow fibers ensure that the microfilter filters water faster than traditional filter media.
