The ProTrail is built for solo hikers after a light, fast and reliable shelter. It pitches very quickly and has a nice compact footprint, so it doesn’t need much room to set up. You pitch the ProTrail with four stakes and two poles (trekking poles or tent poles). If you want, you can even sleep two people in here, two mats fit, but they overlap at the foot end.
The ProTrail is made from 20D nano ripstop 100% silicone-coated polyester and is a single-wall tent. This material doesn’t sag when it gets wet. The tent is well protected by no-see-um nylon mesh at the front and back, so you can even look out the back if you like. Being single-wall, you can get condensation in here (like in any tent, but there’s no inner to catch it), and the upside is that the ProTrail ventilates really well, front and back.
It’s a tidy, compact tent that suits fast-and-light or minimalist backpackers. It packs down very small, just stuff it into the stuff sack, the polyester handles that fine. Despite the compact size you can sit up at the front (unless you’re really tall, +190 cm). It’s still fine for tall people to sleep in, with an interior length of 213 cm.
