Gas canisters have one annoying drawback, that rounded bottom (and the weight, but there’s not much you can do about that). On a flat little table they’re fine, but on uneven ground, sand or snow that combination of canister, burner and pot has a habit of tipping over. The Igneous Universal Fuel Stand tackles that and keeps the whole thing stable.
This canister stand widens the footprint of your gas canister to 160 mm, almost double that of a standard 110 mm canister. That keeps the centre of gravity nicely in the middle, even with a full pot of water on top. Less chance of tipping, less chance of accidents, and no spilled soup just as you were looking forward to it (believe me, I know how annoying that is).
It weighs 7 grams and fits inside almost any pot. You fold it flat into an L-shape so it takes up very little room. The frame is heat-resistant nylon, the legs are grade-5 titanium and the pins are stainless steel. Made in the USA, for all standard canister-shaped valves on 90 mm (the small ~100-110 gram canisters) and 110 mm (the larger ~220-230 gram canisters).
