A 4.5-gram pot gripper in 3D-printed aluminium with a nitinol spring. A real gear-nerd treat, tiny and compact, beautifully made, and it works seriously well.

The moment we saw this one it had to go in the range. The Igneous Pot Hopper is such a clever little thing, tiny and compact, beautifully made from 3D-printed aluminium, and it works seriously well too.

It turns your handle-less pots, which are often a fair bit lighter than pots with a fixed handle, into something you can actually use.

The Igneous Pot Hopper weighs 4.5 grams. Super compact, but you grip your pot just as securely (unless you’re trying to lift a monster 1100 ml pot with it, which we wouldn’t recommend).

It’s made from 3D-printed aluminium with a striking orange ceramic coating, easy to find again if you put it down somewhere in the dark. The spring is nitinol, a memory metal that springs open the instant you let go. Clamp it onto the rim of your pot, lift, pour. Repeat.

The Pot Hopper works best with small to normal titanium pots from 300 to 750 ml, and can be used with pots up to about 900 ml, but carefully. Personally it’s a perfect match with my ultralight set-up and an Evernew 400 NH.
