The GearAid Seam Grip SIL (formerly SilNet) is the standard for waterproofing Silnylon and Silpoly tents. This clear silicone sealant dries to a flexible, durable layer that stops moisture seeping through your seams.
A 28-gram tube is enough to seal roughly 7.3 metres of seam. Good for new tents, or for touching up older seams that could use a bit more protection. It also works for repairing small holes or tears in your fabric.
Because silicone only bonds well to silicone, this is the only type of sealant that actually works on Silnylon and Silpoly. Seam Grip SIL forms an elastic, waterproof layer that doesn’t crack or peel, regardless of heat, cold or long-term use.
