Mr. Brush is a traditional Japanese tawashi, a small scrubbing pad, made from carefully selected materials for cleaning Evernew cookware. It is produced on a vintage tawashi machine, of which only two are left in Japan. The texture is mild and smooth, so it cleans uncoated titanium and aluminium without scratching, but it still gets burnt-on rice and porridge off the bottom of your pot.
Why not a piece of sponge?
A kitchen sponge holds water and food, gets smelly and falls apart after a few days on the trail. A tawashi dries fast, does not hold food and lasts for years. Rinse it out, hang it on your pack and it is ready for the next meal. At 20 grams it is a small luxury that makes camp dishes a lot less annoying.
