With a closed footbox and individual draft control, the Enlightened Equipment Accomplice is the quilt for couples who want to carry less and sleep warm together. A separate draft collar at each head end keeps the heat in and thanks to the individual neck and side openings each person can adjust the quilt to their own liking, so you both sleep well across a wide temperature range.
A quilt, not a sleeping bag
The Accomplice is a quilt and not a sleeping bag. It is designed to be used together with sleeping pads (with enough R-value for the season) that provide the insulation underneath you. There are no zippers or built-in hoods, which is exactly why it saves so much weight and space in your pack compared to two sleeping bags. New to quilts? The idea is simple: the down you lie on gets compressed and does not insulate anyway, so a quilt leaves it out.
Works with two pads or one double pad
The Accomplice comes with a set of standard pad straps for attaching it to two separate sleeping pads and a set of Double-Wide Pad Straps for a two person sleeping pad. The elastic straps and clips on both sides hold the quilt on the pads and stop drafts on cold nights.

Which temperature rating?
EE rates its quilts at the limit temperature, not the comfort temperature. My rule of thumb is to add 5 to 6 degrees for the temperature at which most people sleep comfortably. For summer and warm spring nights in Europe the 30°F is fine, the 20°F is the three season all-rounder and the 10°F is for people who sleep cold or camp in autumn and early winter.
