A new and slightly less heavy battery pack (both in weight and output) from NiteCore: Nitecore Carbon Battery 6K. The smaller sister of the famous Nitecore NB10000 Gen3 Powerbank. This new powerbank from Nitecore builds on the success of its predecessors. First of all by the woven carbon exterior, therefore super looks (nice and important), but much more important also very strong and very lightweight: this powerbank weighs only 88 grams.
That the carbon body of this rechargeable “battery” can take a beating will not surprise you (drop resistant to 1 meter), therefore ideal as a power bank for the trail and in your backpack. Because of its small size (only 2.3 x 9 cm) you can easily tuck it away in a hip or shoulder bag. The Li-Ion Polymer battery has a capacity of 6000mAh and a 2A output at 5V.
Nice feature is that the Carbon Battery 6K is IP68 rated, so it can go 2 meters under water without breaking (when not charging). A handy (red light) indicator shows how full the power bank still is. Charging is done with a USB-C cable (included).
