The Zpacks Carbon Fibre Staff isn’t a walking pole for everyone. It’s made for the hiker who likes to walk with a traditional staff but doesn’t fancy carrying the weight of a big wooden one. I’ll admit it can look a touch unusual, like you’re striding down the trail as a wizard, but this all carbon fibre folding staff with a titanium tip is genuinely brilliant. It folds into 3 sections, tensions with an internal cord, and the internal connections are both glued and screwed for maximum reliability.
At full length (151 cm / 59.5″) you use it two-handed for extra grip on rough terrain. Take one section off and you’ve got a 122 or 132 cm tent pole, depending on which part you remove.
