The SOL escape bivy XL is a hooded bivaouc bag for longer people. Unlike a cheap survival blanket, the Escape Bivvy is relativly breathable, so the moisture from your body can get out while rain and wind stay out. Of course sleeping in a bivy in the rain is never fun, but you get the (marketing) message. Great thing in this bivvybag is that the material reflects about 70% of your body heat back.
This is the XL version with a hood, roomier than the standard Escape Bivvy, so taller people fit or you can slip your sleeping bag inside for extra warmth. The fabric is tear-resistant and quiet, and it lasts for repeated use rather than one time.
