When you need to compress volume without dragging a lot of weight along, these Ultra-Sil compression sacks from Sea to Summit are an excellent solution. Stuff your sleeping bag, down jacket or spare clothing in and pull the whole thing down to about a third of its original volume with three compression straps. Ideal for getting your soft gear compact in the bottom of your bikepacking bag or backpack.
This is the new version, the main difference being that the sizes are now clearly labelled in litres (5, 8 and 13 litre) instead of the old XS/S/M. Otherwise it’s the familiar recipe: the 30D Ultra-Sil fabric is woven with Cordura yarns and siliconized, bluesign approved and with a PFAS-free (C0) water-repellent finish, water-resistant to 2000 mm hydrostatic head. The attached flip-top lid keeps the straps from tangling.
