The MSR Titan Cup is a great-sized cup you can use for coffee, tea or whatever else, but also as a small pot for heating water. Dual-purpose, in other words. This titanium cup has a few nice touches, like the silicone sleeves over the handles and the silicone sip guard on the rim so you don’t burn your lip the instant you get too eager for your coffee. The silicone is fully heatproof, so nothing happens if you accidentally crank your burner too high. You can pull the lip ring off if you want, say for a proper wash.
If you want a cup that keeps your drink warm for longer, the MSR double-wall titanium cup might be the better pick, but you can’t cook in that one. This cup has no lid, though you can easily make one for cooking from a piece of aluminium barbecue tray. The weight is no reason to hold back, this titanium cup is just 68 grams. Handy 150 and 300ml marks give you an idea of whether you’re boiling enough water for your meal pouch.
This titanium cup nests perfectly inside the 900ml Titan Kettle (or the bigger 1400ml) without rattling.
