The Outdoor Research Bug Bivy is a mesh-covered bivy, which provides ideal protection against insects and other animals that may want to crawl into your bivy. Ideal in combination with a tarp or for protected lying in dry conditions. The bug bivy has a weight of only 454 grams (including stick) and a very compact pack size of only 32 x 10 cm. The OR Bug Bivy has a tent pole that creates a hoop at the head end. This way you have a less claustrophobic feeling in your bivy bag.

The front of the bivy has a “clamshell” opening (zipper that opens at the front). By adding a small tent stake, a hoop is formed that keeps your head free from the canvas. The “no-see-um” mesh ensures that mosquitoes and other vermin do not disturb your night’s sleep and stay outside.
