This reusable, super light coffee filter from GSI Outdoors is a fixed part of my own kit. It weighs less than 10 grams and lives in the bottom of my pot bag, ready to make proper filter coffee at camp. Unfold the three small legs, set it on your cup, add coffee and pour hot water. For a wider cup you can also let it hang in the water. After use you rinse the filter and you are done.
Packs with your pot
Folded, the filter is about the size of a gas canister, 10.5 cm across, so it fits in the bottom of most pot bags. A TOAKS 750 ml pot is just under 10 cm in diameter, so there it goes on top instead of inside.
Care
Rinse after use and let it dry properly when you get home before you store it, otherwise it starts to smell.
