We were a bit in doubt if we should add these to the shop, but honestly they were just to fancy and nice not to have. These Shopping Bags from High Tail Designs are made with Challenge Sailcloth TX33 and printed with the most amazing prints. Weighing only 28 grams in medium and 33 grams for the large version, these bag are so small and light you can always bring them as a backup. Fully waterproof, made from Challenge Outdoor TX33, this is a very nice sturdy but thin 33 denier polyester ripstop material on a PET film with Ultra UHMWPE fibres. According to High Tail it’s the first fabric with the translucent look of Dyneema at the same weight. The seams are fully taped and the pattern was updated with wider handles.
The absolutely gorgeous prints come from two collaborations. Alpine Flora and Mountain Flowers White are by Flower of the Mountain, a Japanese brand built around alpine plants, with illustrations by Nelson Mirei. Twilight is a painting by Andrew Marshall, painter, photographer and writer for BackpackingLight.com and GearJunkie among others.
On the trail these bags are perfect for those hungry shopping sprees, but you will probably see most use of it around on a daily base around the house, for shopping and simply make it your go-to grocery bag. The Medium fits a carton of 18 eggs flat on the bottom, and the handles are wide enough to sling over your shoulder. Because the colours are sublimated, the shade may vary slightly from the photo.
