Esbit – Solid Fuel – 12 x 14 gram fuel tablets

The Esbit cube is the original solid fuel, made in Germany since 1936, and it is a super reliable way of heating your food or starting a fire. One 14 gram tablet burns about 12 minutes and brings half a litre of water to the boil in roughly 7 min. The twelve pieces (tablets) come sealed waterproof, so the box survives a wet pack and they are really easy to ignite with a match or lighter (I don’t recommend using a firestell). They stay lit at altitude and below freezing where gas sputters, burn almost smoke- and residue-free, and double as a fire starter for a campfire or BBQ. Works with any Esbit pocket stove, on the rear of the Vargo stove and other solid-fuel burners.
