Evernew – Apex mug 300 – ultralight titanium mug (0.2mm)

We were already huge fans of the Apex cup, it’s so ridiculously light, and now there’s the Evernew Apex Mug 300. You can rightly call this the showpiece of Evernew’s Apex line: titanium pressed to a thickness of just 0.2 mm, a world first at this thickness and one-third thinner than a standard titanium mug. And of course, this mug has handy foldable handles. An added benefit of the thin walls is that your water boils just a bit faster, so you use less fuel (honestly we did not notice this, but if you do the math…).

This mug is also ultralight, weighing a mere ~29 grams. So if you’re looking for a way to make your setup even lighter, this is the mug for the avid gram-saver. Of course, because this mug is very thin, you’ll need to handle it a bit more carefully than thicker titanium mugs, but we’ve taken the Apex 0.2 on quite a few trips, and it still looks great, holds its shape well, and doesn’t have a single dent (though it does have a nice patina shine 😉
