Dan Durston created the first iconic X-mid in collaboration with MassDrop and this tent has since become one of the best tents in the whole lightweight backpacking community. With the introduction of the pro version, which are made of Dyneema, these became even more ultralight.
Besides tents Durston Gear also have backpacks that are truly well designed and use superior materials (in all the right places, light where possible, strong and sturdy where needed). We have the original X-Mid from the Massdrop collaboration, and itâs still one of our all-time favorite tents (though the Pro version might have edged it out đ). The concept is brilliantâlight, compact, easy to pitch (itâs just a square!), and surprisingly spacious.

The Kakwa 55 is an ultralight multi-day backpack with a frame for stability. Able to carry enough gear for longer hikes and still maintain really comfortable. It is filled with super usable details and super functional. This pack is been designed by Dan Durston who is know for putting all his outdoor knowledge and experience into the design of this pack (just like he did with the
x-mid tents) . Even though the Kakwa 55 is a large pack, made for carrying all your gear (and some more, we all need to eat ;-) it is still incredibly light at just a bit under 900 grams.

The Z-Flick poles set the standard for folding poles, as they are not only the lightest adjustable poles on the market, but also the stiffest poles anywhere near this weight, compatible with almost every tent, and the only pole to have continuous external adjustment. Any pole that is lighter has a fixed length and is quite likely much less stiff.
