An ideal backup to have with you at Bikepacking races where you unexpectedly have to sleep outside or for those moments when you would normally only be in your sleeping bag, but the elements are a bit more challenging. This is not a bivy for long-term use, but a perfect solution as a backup or emergency bivy.
