These ultralight drawstring stuff sacks from Hilltop Packs are made from ECOPAK DT50T, a fabric that is comparable in weight to 1.43 oz Dyneema but tougher against abrasion. The seams are taped for weather resistance. They are ideal for organising the different items in your pack: socks and base layers in one, cook kit in another, quilt in a Jumbo. Moisture can only get in through the small opening at the top, so they keep things dry in normal rain. For real waterproofing, look at the Hilltop roll top dry bags.
A nice property of these sacks: when you compress them in your pack the air escapes through the top, so they take up minimal space. Hilltop Packs makes them by hand in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
About the DT50T fabric
DT50T is a hybrid fabric made from recycled and new materials, with an abrasion layer on the outside and a waterproof layer on the inside. It is strong, tough and very light.
