Yes, that’s quite a simple piece of elastic with a ball on it… indeed. But that piece of elastic can be very useful. You can of course also make it yourself, but sometimes it is also nice and easy to order.

Bikepacking essentials: Yes, that’s quite a simple piece of elastic with a ball on it… indeed. But that piece of elastic can be very useful. You can of course also make it yourself, but sometimes it is also nice and easy to order.
How do you use them? Very simple, to make a closure you simply pull the ball through the loop of the elastic and the elastic effect means it stays in place. Removing it is super easy (note that if there is a lot of tension, you cannot get the plastic ball against your fingers, it can be painful).
You can use it for anything, for example to quickly:

  • tie a jacket to your handlebars,
  • as an extra attachment to your saddle bag,
  • securing your water bottle,
  • roll up your sleeping mat around your sleeping bag
  • keep wide trouser legs together
  • tie that extra food you’re craving to your bike
  • emergency solution for missing trouser button (true story)
  • you can’t imagine anything so crazy.

Length: 20cm
With a black or red ball.
